About Us

Outside the Wall Counseling: Your Partner in mental health

At Outside the Wall Counseling Services, our name reflects our mission: helping people move beyond the walls that can hold them back. We provide a safe, supportive space where healing, growth, and resilience can take root.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving individuals and families in many settings such as providing Intensive In-Community (IIC) therapeutic services in the home, supporting children in therapeutic group homes, working with individuals in trauma hospital settings, and helping those with developmental disabilities...to name a few.  These diverse experiences have shaped a practice that is compassionate, adaptable, and responsive to the unique needs of every client.

I welcome clients of all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and abilities. As a U.S. Navy veteran, I also bring a personal understanding of the challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their families.

My approach is guided by professional ethics and evidence-based practices. Above all, therapy here is collaborative and strengths-based — I focus on each person’s unique abilities while supporting them through life’s challenges.

At Outside the Wall Counseling Services, I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey toward mental wellness.

Ella-Therapy pup "in-training"

Meet Ella, My mini-goldendoodle puppy in training. Ella is learning how to bring comfort, calm and connection into the therapy space.  With client permission and comfort in mind, she may one day join sessions to provide companionship and broader therapeutic support. Research shows that therapy animals can reduce stress, ease anxiety, and help create a warm and welcoming environment — and Ella is already proving to be a natural at spreading joy.  Stay tuned as I share more of Ella's journey.
